Mature Applicants:   Applicants below the educational requirement of the college must demonstrate ability to benefit from the educational programme being offered by achieving a score on an independently administered test that demonstrates that the applicant can benefit from the training.

NON-ATTENDANCE

Students are responsible for all work from the first day of the term. Students are expected to attend all classes and are required to attend a minimum of 3 hours a week. If you are unable to attend college for any reason, you should notify the college immediately.

Absences beyond three for a three-hour class, two for a two-hour class or one for a one-hour class will be penalised at the discretion of the teacher.

Any student who misses more than 20% of the sessions of a course fails the course unless an appeal is made and a waiver granted. The student may appeal to the principal after missing 20% of the sessions and may receive a waiver. Even if a waiver is granted, all absences continue to accumulate.
There is no appeal for missing more than 25% of the sessions of a class.
Any Student who misses 25% of the sessions of a class automatically fails.

NON-ARRIVAL POLICY

A Student who has been duly registered and placed on a course for which he/she has previously applied and has been accepted will lose all fees paid to the college if his non-attendance is caused by his/her deliberate decision to discontinue the course. Otherwise, if it is shown that his/her non-arrival was occasioned by circumstances which he/her could not have foreseen then the college will only retain 10% of fees to cover administration costs.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

Every Student admitted to a course will have to complete an application form specifying the course desired. The Academic Board meets from time to time to consider applications. A Student who is accepted is given a serial registration number which is inscribed on his /her admission letter.
